MConcierge Inks Funding from Real Ventures, Palos Capital

Montreal-based MConcierge Systems Inc., a maker of mobile-to-web software for the hospitality industry, has inked an undisclosed amount of financing from Real Ventures, Montreal Start Up, Palos Capital and Positron Inc. The money will help it expand software for hotels, which is a task management, content management and ordering system designed to integrate into existing IT infrastructures, PMS and other third party software. Real Ventures is a seed venture fund based in Montreal.

Positron Buys Aktino

Positron Inc. has acquired Aktino Inc., an Irvine, Calif.-based provider of carrier Ethernet and broadband services over bonded copper. No financial terms were disclosed. Aktino had raised over $43 million in VC funding, from firms like Crosspoint Venture Partners, InnoCal Venture Capital, Foundation Capital, Silver Creek Ventures and Miramar Venture Partners.
