CloudPay Raises $16M From Pinnacle, Rho, Others

CloudPay said it raised $16 million in a Series B round of financing from Pinnacle Investment Partners, Rho Ventures and other institutional investors. CloudPay has collected more than $50 million in equity funding since it launched its cloud offering, named CloudPay.

Mobile ad network Tapjoy Inc. has formed an advisory board. The board consists of Peter Yared, chief technology officer of CBS Interactive; Bernardo Hernandez, head of emerging products at Google; Razorfish CMO Jeff Lanctot; Arjun Sethi, CEO of LOLapps; GameStop director Shane Kim; Jim Elms, lead of global strategy and insights at UM; Matt Ocko, managing director of Archimedes Capital; and Tom Moss, chief executive of 3LM. San Francisco-based Tapjoy is backed by J.P.Morgan Asset Management, Rho Ventures, North Bridge Venture Partners, InterWest Partners and D.E. Shaw Ventures.

Patersons Inks $6.45 for Cloud-based Payroll

Patersons, a maker of cloud-based payroll delivery platform, has closed a $6.45 million mezzanine financing round led by Rho Ventures. The money will be used to expand Patersons’ platform, and for other growth efforts, the company said.
