Eyewear product designer ICU Eyewear has appointed Rich Conti as chief executive officer and member of the board of directors. The company has also appointed Kirk Hobbs, most recently the CEO of Lifefactory, as chief operating officer. ICU is owned by San Francisco Equity Partners.

Julie Bell has joined San Francisco Equity Partners as a partner. Previously she was a senior investment professional at middle-market consumer private equity firm JH Partners. In her new role, Bell will focus on the consumer products, consumer services and retail sectors, the firm said.

San Francisco Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on expansion-stage companies in the consumer industry, bought Zoom Eyeworks Inc., a Berkeley, Calif.-based designer and marketer of eyewear. Pacific Community Ventures and Simon Equity Partners partnered with San Francisco Equity Partners in the transaction.
