Seaport Capital has made a strategic investment in Net Access Corp. Financial terms were not announced. Net Access provides data center colocation and managed hosting services from three locations in northern New Jersey. DH Capital advised Net Access.

Logicworks Adds George Kerns as C.E.O.

Logicworks, a provider of enterprise hosting and cloud computing solutions, has named George Kerns as its chief executive officer. Previously, Kerns served as president and chief executive of Fusepoint Managed Services, an enterprise hosting provider. Earlier in his career, Kerns served as president and chief executive of Digex, an enterprise hosting company. Logicworks is backed by investors including New York City-based private equity firm Seaport Capital.

Logicworks Seals $7.6M From Seaport Capital

Logicworks, a provider of enterprise hosting and cloud computing solutions, has closed on $7.6 million in growth capital from New York City-based private equity firm Seaport Capital. The funds will help Logicworks expand its sales and marketing efforts and to continue software development. Seaport Capital partner Bill Luby will join the Logicworks board as a result of the financing.

Voxel Inks $5.5M From Seaport Capital

Voxel Dot Net Inc., a provider of hybrid cloud hosting and managed services, has raised $5.5 million in Series A capital. Seaport Capital led the round, which will help Voxel expand its sales efforts. New York-based DH Capital advised Voxel on the round. Jim Collis of Seaport Capital will join Voxel’s board as a result of the round. Both Voxel and Seaport are based in New York.

Welsh Carson Buys Peak 10

Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe has bought a majority stake of Peak 10, a Charlotte, N.C.-based data center operator and managed services provider. Peak 10′s management will also have a stake. The sellers were Seaport Capital and McCarthy Capital. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close in early October.

Seaport Capital has led an acquisition of American Internet Services Inc., a San Diego-based provider of data center co-location services. Also participating were Viridian Investment Partners and DuPont Capital Management. No financial terms were disclosed.
