Fundly, a cloud-based social fundraising platform for non-profits, has raised $5 million in financing led by Morgenthaler Ventures. Seed investors Kapor Capital, Correlation Ventures, Seraph Group, and Accelerator Ventures also participated in the round. As a result of the round, Morgenthaler’s Mark Goines will join the Fundly board. Fundly is based in Palo Alto, Calif.

San Francisco-based Second Genome, a microbiome company, has closed a $5 million Series A round co-led by Advanced Technology Ventures and Morgenthaler Ventures, and including previous investors Wavepoint Ventures, Seraph Group, and individual seed investors. Vivecoach, maker of a corporate wellness challenge application, has closed on $1.5 million in new funding. Individual investors Konstantin Othmer and Bruce Leak led the round, with participation from Seraph Group, Aquinas Companies and TIBCO Software co-founder Jeff Risberg. The company, based in Menlo Park, Calif., will use the new cash to expand its marketing and sales efforts.

Silver Tail Systems Inc., which develops predictive analytics for detection and prevention of online fraud and abuse, has closed a Series B round with roughly $20 million. Andreessen Horowitz led the round, with participation from Leapfrog Ventures, Seraph Group, and StartUp Capital Ventures. Scott Weiss, general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, has joined Silver Tail System’s board as a result of the round.
