BestVendor has closed a $3 million Series A round co-led by RRE Ventures and SoftBank Capital. Additional investors include Lerer Ventures, who invested in the company’s seed round, along with David Tisch, Founder Collective and Old Willow Partners, the company announced Tuesday. New York-based BestVendor is an online resources where users share and recommend work-related applications.

xAd Nabs $9M

xAd, the mobile-local advertising network, raised an additional $9 million led by Emergence Capital Partners, a prior investor in the company. Start-up Opinionaided has closed on $4.3 million from SoftBank Capital, BlueRun Ventures, General Catalyst and Draper Fisher Jurvetson, as well as from angel investors, including DreamIt Ventures’ Mark Wachen and Jonah Goodhart of Point Ventures Group. Opinionaided is a free question-and-answer app, downloadable on the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, which gives advice and opinions in real-time. With the Series A round, the company also announced the formation of a board, which includes investors Jay Jamison, a venture partner at BlueRun Ventures; and Joe Medved, a partner at SoftBank Capital. Softbank and BlueRun were the lead investors on the Series A round.

Taykey Builds Toward Exit With Sequoia Backing

Taykey, the Israel-launched mobile advertising technology company, just wrapped a $9 million funding from investors including Crescent Point, Softbank Capital and Sequoia Capital.
