Kaiser Permanente Ventures and CHV Capital Back Health Catalyst

Health Catalyst, a Salt Lake City-based data warehousing company that’s focused on healthcare, has added $8 million to its Series B round, care of Kaiser Permanente Ventures and CHV Capital. Previously, the company had raised $33 million for its Series B, from investors that include Norwest Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital and Sorenson Capital.

Sorenson Cap Backs Mindshare Technologies

Sorenson Capital will back Mindshare Technologies, leading a $20 million investment in the company. The PrivateBank and Trust Company contributed to the growth investment with an additional credit facility. Richard Hanks, the CEO and president of Mindshare, said that the company will primarily use the capital raised for growth, and not M&A. He suggested the financing might not be the last for Mindshare, which is projected to hit the $19 million mark for revenue in 2011.

BAML Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Provo Craft & Novelty Inc. Seller Sorenson Capital will retain a minority equity stake, as will company management. No financial terms were disclosed. Robert W. Baird & Co. served as advisor to Provo Craft.
