Credit Karma raises $75 mln in growth round

Google Capital, Tiger Global Management and Susquehanna Growth Equity have provided a $75 million add-on growth round in Credit Karma, a consumer finance and technology company. Google Capital’s portion of the funding is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the fourth quarter. Credit Karma has raised a total of $193.5 million from Google Capital, Tiger, Susquehanna, Ribbit Capital, Felicis Ventures, QED Investors, Founders Fund and SV Angel.

Email marketing startup Sendwithus bags $2.3 mln

According to a blog post on its site, Sendwithus has raised $2.3 million in funding. Steve Anderson of Baseline Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Initialized Capital, SV Angel, Maiden Lane and Acequia Capital. LA-based online job board Workpop said Tuesday that it has secured $7 million in Series A funding, raising its total tally to $7.9 million. The investors included Trinity Ventures, SV Angel, Biz Stone’s Obvious Ventures and Cornerstone OnDemand.

AltspaceVR, a social platform for virtual reality, has raised $5.2 million in seed funding. Investors include Dolby Family Ventures, Formation 8, Google Ventures, Lux Capital, Foundation Capital, Rothenberg Ventures, SV Angel, Haystack Fund, Tencent, Raine Ventures, Promus Ventures, Western Technology Investment and others.

VC-backed virtual scrapbook site Pinterest buys Icebergs

Virtual scrapbook site Pinterest has acquired Icebergs, a visual organization startup, the latter announced on its site. No financial terms were disclosed. Icebergs, which is headquartered in Barcelona, will be joining the Pinterest team in San Francisco and discontinuing its service on September 1. Twitter has acquired CardSpring, the latter confirmed in a post on its site. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in San Francisco, CardSpring is a payments infrastructure firm. A Capital, the early-stage firm newly launched by Ronny Conway, who left Andreessen Horowitz last year to raise a fund, led Weave’s financing. Pinterest racks up $200 mln at $5 bln valuation

Virtual scrapbook site Pinterest has raised $200 million in Series F financing at a valuation of $5 billion, a spokesperson from the company confirmed. Previous backers SV Angel, Bessemer Venture Partners, Fidelity, Andreessen Horowitz, FirstMark Capital and Valiant Capital Partners participated in the round.  Pinterest co-founder and CEO Ben Silbermann said in a statement: “Pinterest has a vision of solving discovery and helping everyone find things they’ll love. This new investment gives us additional resources to realize our vision.”
