STG closes buy of System C from McKesson

Symphony Technology Group has completed its acquisition of System C from McKesson. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, STG has named Dr. Ian Denley and Markus Bolton as joint chief executives of System C. Denley will be responsible for corporate affairs, research and development and the overall running of the company while Bolton will be responsible for sales, strategy and deployment services. Based in the UK, System C is a health and social care software supplier.

Symphony Performance Health, which is owned by Symphony Technology Group, has hired George Dunaway as its new chief financial officer. Among the firms where Dunaway has previously worked are Restora Healthcare, Healthcare Solutions and CompBenefits Corp. Findly, a portfolio company of Symphony Technology Group, has hired Sal Apuzzio has senior vice president, Eastern region new business sales. Previously, Apuzzio worked at SilkRoad where he served as executive vice president of sales, Americas. Based in San Francisco, Findly is a talent platform.

Symphony Performance Health, which is owned by Symphony Technology Group, has named Dr. David S. Hanekom as chief medical officer. Hanekom is the former chief medical officer and vice president of medical management of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, Symphony Performance Health is a provider of best-in-class information, analytics and technology solutions for health network clients.

STG buys MDdatacor from Noridian Mutual Insurance

Private equity firm Symphony Technology Group has acquired MDdatacor from Noridian Mutual Insurance Company. No financial terms were disclosed. STG will merge MDdatacor with other assets to launch Symphony Performance Health, a provider of best-in-class information, analytics and tech solutions.

First Advantage Closes Buy of LexisNexis Screening Unit

First Advantage, which is backed by Symphony Technology Group, has closed its buy of LexisNexis Risk Solutions‘ employment and resident screening business.LexisNexis Risk Solutions is a division of Reed Elsevier. The transaction was announced in January. BofA Merrill Lynch acted as financial advisor to First Advantage. BofA Merrill Lynch and Tennenbaum Capital Partners provided financing.

ImpactRx Buys TargetRx

ImpactRx, the medical marketplace data analytics firm, is buying TargetRx. Terms of the deal were not publicized. ImpactRx President and CEO, Gregory Ellis, will lead the combined company. ImpactRx is backed by Symphony Technology Group.
