First Advantage, which is backed by Symphony Technology Group, has closed its buy of LexisNexis Risk Solutions‘ employment and resident screening business.LexisNexis Risk Solutions is a division of Reed Elsevier. The transaction was announced in January. BofA Merrill Lynch acted as financial advisor to First Advantage. BofA Merrill Lynch and Tennenbaum Capital Partners provided financing.

SIGMA3, a portfolio company of private equity firm Symphony Technology Group has acquired three companies: Colorado-based APEX Petroleum Engineering, APEXHiPoint and HiPoint Reservoir Imaging. Freker succeeds interim CEO Andy Macdonald, who will become the CEO of an STG portfolio company focused on e-discovery and legal process outsourcing services. Sigma3 Launches from FusionGeo-Prism Seismic Merger

Sigma3, a new software technology and services company focused on the oil and gas industry, has been created out of the merger of FusionGeo Inc. and Prism Seismic Inc. Backed by Symphony Technology Group, the company provides software, training and services designed to advise oil and gas companies where and how to drill the most prolific wells. The company is based in San Antonio, Texas.

ImpactRx Buys TargetRx
