Newegg forms partnership with VC-backed BitPay to accept bitcoins

Electronics retailer Newegg has formed a partnership with BitPay to accept bitcoin payments on Newegg.com. In May, BitPay announced it had secured $30 million in Series A funding from Index Ventures, Horizon Ventures, Founders Fund, Felicis Ventures, RRE Ventures, TTV Capital, Sir Richard Branson and AME Cloud Ventures. BitPay’s total capital raised at the time was $32.7 million.

Index Ventures leads $30 mln Series A for BitPay

BitPay said Tuesday it has raised $30 million in Series A funding led by Index Ventures. Horizons Ventures, Founders Fund, Felicis Ventures, RRE Ventures, TTV Capital, Sir Richard Branson and AME Cloud Ventures also participated. Atlanta-based BitPay said it processes $1 million per day in bitcoin payments for over 30,000 merchants. Bit Pay, payment service provider, said total accumulated investment has reached $32.7 million.

ShopKeep racks in $25 mln

ShopKeep has raised $25 million in Series C funding. Thayer Street Partners led the round with participation from Canaan Partners, Tribeca Venture Partners, TTV Capital, Contour Venture Partners, former Thomson Reuters CEO Tom Glocer and Matt Coffin, founder of LowerMyBills. Headquartered in New York City, ShopKeep is a provider of cloud-based point of sale software for managing retail shops and restaurants.

Bill.com secures funding

Business payment network Bill.com has closed $38 million in financing. Led by new investor Scale Venture Partners, the round also included participation from Bank of America, American Express, Fifth Third Bank, Pete Kight, founder of CheckFree, and Commerce Ventures, as well as all of Bill.com’s previous investors August Capital, Napier Park Global Capital, TTV Capital, Jafco Ventures, Emergence Capital and DCM. With this funding, Bill.com has raised $80 million to date.

ShopKeep POS Inks $10m in New Funding

ShopKeep POS has closed a Series B funding round of $10 million led by Canaan Partners. Tribeca Venture Partners and TTV Capital, who co-led the company’s $2.2 million Series A funding earlier this year, also participated in the round.

ShopKeep Bags Series A

ShopKeep, the iPad platform developer for retailers, has landed a Series A financing led by Tribeca Venture Partners and TTV Capital. Contour Venture Partners also participated in the funding.

Intel Leads $20M Round for IP Commerce

IP Commerce has raised $20.7 million in growth capital from Intel Capital, Meritage Funds, Venrock, TTV Capital, Fifth Third Processing Solutions and Iron Gate Capital. Intel was the lead investor in the round, which will be used to drive application developer adoption. IP Commerce is based in Denver.

Wellington Partners Leads $14M Round for eWise

eWise, a global payment and online financial management company, has raised $14 million from Wellington Partners, Balderton Capital, TTV Capital and Patagorang. The new funds will help eWise expand its technology and its sales, the company said Tuesday.
