Ampersand Capital Partners said Monday that Eric Lev has joined as a partner, while Dana Niles was named CFO and Chief Compliance Officer. John Perkins also joined Ampersand as an operating partner. Lev was most recently at Water Street Healthcare Partners where he served on their investment team. Niles previously was CFO of HighPoint Capital. And Perkins was a senior executive at Talecris Biotherapeutics, an Ampersand portfolio company.

Water Street Healthcare Partners and Wind Point Partners are exiting their investment in Physiotherapy Associates, selling the company to New York-based private equity firm Court Square Capital Partners. AAIPharma Services Corp., a private equity backed provider of pharmaceutical product development services, has acquired Celsis Analytical Service. AAIPharma is backed by Chicago-based Water Street Healthcare Partners. Terms of the deal were not released.

Summit Partners has completed its investment in CareCentrix Inc., a provider of home healthcare benefits management services. The funding is designed to fund continued growth and development of new products. Water Street Healthcare Partners, which bought the company in 2008, will continue to hold a stake going forward. Specific terms of Summit’s investment were not released.
