Online family history resource Ancestry.com has acquired San Francisco-based startup 1000memories. Founded in 2010, 1000memories makes it easy to digitize and share photos and stories from the past. The business was funded by angel and institutional investors, including Greylock Partners, Y Combinator, SV Angel, Founder Collective, and Lowercase Capital.

Grishin Robotics Invests in Y Combinator Graduate Double Robotics

Grishin Robotics has made a $250,000 investment into Double Robotics, a recent graduate from Y Combinator. The business builds telepresence robots. Current customers of Double Robotics use the product for teleconferencing, security surveillance, real estate and museum tours, healthcare, presentation purposes and many others.
