Garnett & Helfrich Capital has lost its second private equiteer in as many months, and has at least temporarily removed the “Team” option from its website header. The latest departure is Betty Hung, who joined the firm just last July as vice president of portfolio operations. She’s now taken a similar gig with Vista Equity Partners.
You can still access the team page via its direct URL , and will see that Hung is still listed (Update: Page has been taken down. You can find a page from January 2006 in the Internet Archive). No idea if the edit portends future changes, or is simply an oversight (I’m awaiting word from a firm spokeswoman).
Hung’s departure follows that of director Mike Guthrie (now with Symphony Technology Group) and co-founder Terry Garnett’s decision to remain in Silicon Valley rather than move to London. The firm is expected to begin raising its second fund a bit later this year with a target of between $700 million and $750 million.
