Autonomic Technologies Inc., a Menlo Park, Calif.-based maker of neurostimulators, has secured $3 million of a $5 million Series A round. The capital came from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, while The Cleveland Clinic is also listed as a shareholder. www.kpcb.com

The Jellyvision Lab Inc., a Chicago-based provider of interactive conversation applications, has raised $5 million in Series B funding. Sigma Partners led the deal, with Greg Gretsch of Sigma taking a board seat. www.jellyvision.com

FirstRain Inc., a Foster City, Calif.-based provider of real-time business intelligence solutions, has raised $13.58 million in Series AAA funding. Return backers include Oak Investment Partners, Diamondhead Ventures and Ampersand Ventures. The company has now raised around $65 million in total VC funding since 2000. www.firstrain.com

Aushon Biosystems Inc., a Burlington, Mass.-based developer of enabling technologies for life science research, drug discovery/development and clinical diagnostics, has secured $4 million of a $7 million Series B round. Return backer North Bridge Venture Partners is the only institutional shareholder listed. www.aushonbiosystems.com

Clinipace Inc., a Durham, N.C.-based provider of clinical research software, has raised $2.6 million in Series B funding. Backers include Hatteras Venture Partners and Emergent Growth Fund. www.clinipace.com

Innotas Inc., an San Francisco, Calif.-based provider of project portfolio management software, has raised $6 million in Series C funding. Return backers include ArrowPath Venture Partners, ComVentures and Cedar Circle. www.innotas.com
