VC-backed TxVia has apointed Donald W. Layden as an independent director. Txvia is backed by Bain Capital Ventures and Oak Investment Partners. The company provides an advanced operating system to enable emerging payments and financial services.

TxVia, Inc., which provides the most advanced operating system to enable emerging payments and financial services, today announced the appointment of Donald W. Layden, Jr. to its Board of Directors as an independent director.

Mr. Layden currently serves as an advisor to Warburg Pincus, where he advises the firm on investments in payments and transaction processing. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he was president of the International Group and senior executive vice president of Corporate Development, General Counsel and Secretary of Metavante Technologies, which is now part of Fidelity National Information Services /quotes/zigman/349218/quotes/nls/fis FIS +0.24% .
