Allyes, a provider of integrated digital marketing solutions in China has appointed Dr. Hanhua Wang as chief executive officer effective as of December 1, 2012. Allyes is a portfolio company of Silver Lake.
Allyes announced today that Dr. Hanhua Wang has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, with overall responsibility for implementing the company’s business strategy. Dr. Wang’s appointment will be effective as of December 1, 2012. He succeeds Dr. Eric Chen, who has been serving as interim Chief Executive Officer and who will continue his duties as Chairman of Allyes’ board of directors.
Prior to joining Allyes, Dr. Wang served as President of Amazon China, the China operation of Amazon.com, Inc., which he helped build into a thriving Internet business after the 2004 acquisition of the domestic e-commerce website Joyo.com, and where he successfully increased annual sales by more than 100 times during his tenure. From 1998 to May 2005, Dr. Wang served as Motorola’s Vice President for the Asia Pacific Region and General Manager for its China Mobile business unit.

Over the past year Allyes launched a series of transformational initiatives, including the announcement of its cloud strategy, in support of which the company established a research and development center and a product management department in Silicon Valley. The company also created strategy and media development departments and consolidated its Northern China, Eastern China and Southern China regional operations. The company continues to cultivate strategic opportunities to collaborate with key marketing customers and Internet media partners. In addition, Allyes launched cloud-based versions of its product suite, including iDigger, iMedia, SMARTmedia and A3, and secured a strategic investment from Vision Knight Capital, whose Chairman and Founding Partner Mr. David Wei joined Allyes’ board of directors. Also during this period, Allyes augmented its senior executive team, with seasoned professionals joining the company as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Research and Development, Vice President of Human Resources, Vice President of Information Technology and Management Systems, and Vice President of Customer Operations. The company also appointed a head of its Shanghai Research and Development Center and a head of its data teams.
Allyes will host a press conference on December 3, 2012 in Beijing, which Dr. Wang and Dr. Chen will attend. At the conference Allyes will announce the launch of a new product line and strategic media collaboration and discuss other significant matters.
