Commonfund has appointed Bradford K. Gallagher as chairman, board of trustees. Gallagher succeeds Laurance R. Hoagland, who has retired from its board after serving a 12-year term. Commonfund has also announced the retirement of Charles J. Pippin from its board, again after serving a term of 12 years.
Commonfund, a prominent investment
manager for institutional investors, announced the appointment of
Bradford K. Gallagher as Chairman, Board of Trustees, succeeding
Laurance (Laurie) R. Hoagland, who has retired from its Board after
serving a 12-year term. Commonfund also announced the retirement of
Charles J. (“Jeff”) Pippin from its Board, again after serving a term
of 12 years.
Mr. Gallagher has been member of the Commonfund Board of Trustee
since 2005 and is most recently Founder and President, Spyglass
Investments LLC. Commonfund is governed by a Board of Trustees
consisting of some of the most respected professionals from both the
nonprofit and for-profit sectors. The Board now has a total of ten members.

(ex-officio). “He has already made valuable contributions to
Commonfund’s management and oversight as a Trustee, and I know he

Brad Gallagher’s career spans 30 years in the securities and
investment industry as a developer and founder of several well-known
and successful enterprises most recently as Founder and President of
Spyglass Investments LLC in 2001, a private investment vehicle. In
1995 Mr. Gallagher founded Cypress Holding Company with Berkshire
Partners of Boston, MA.
Mr. Gallagher holds a BS in Economics from Seton Hall University.
