Senkut boasted that the firm is now 60% female and it is made up entirely of immigrants. Tomova is a native Bulgarian and speaks Bulgarian and Russia along with English.
Felicis raised $70 million for a second fund last June, nearly twice the amount ($40million) it raised for its debut fund in 2010. “We could have raised $100 million, but we believe in having some scarcity of capital,” Senkut told peHUB at the time. “If we had $100 million, would we make the same [investing] decisions? I don’t know.”
