Tracy Warren, a general partner at Battelle Ventures, has been named to the Springboard Enterprises Life Science Council, whose members work as advisors to the women-led companies in the venture catalyst’s accelerator pipeline. Warren has co-founded a number of life science companies, including BioNano Genomics, Endovalve and NellOne Therapeutics, among others.
Battelle Ventures General Partner Tracy Warren has been named to the Springboard Enterprises Life Science Council, a global network of experts who serve as advisors to the women-led companies in the venture catalyst’s accelerator pipeline.
Warren, who has worked closely with technology transfer and economic development organizations in medical centers, universities and laboratories around the country, has co-founded a number of life-science companies, including:
• BioNano Genomics (genetic analysis), for which she is board chairman;
• Endovalve (cardiovascular devices), which merged with Micro Interventional Devices, where she serves as board member;
• NellOne Therapeutics (soft-tissue regenerative medicine), for which she is CEO; and
• NuPathe (CNS specialty pharmaceutical), which completed its IPO in 2010 and is to be acquired by Endo Health Solutions.
Having started in venture capital more than a decade ago, Warren also serves as an adviser to PDX Pharmaceuticals, which seeks a treatment for hyperphosphatemia. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, and is, in the nonprofit area, a Clemson University Research Foundation board member.
