Kaszek raises $135M for second fund

Kaszek Ventures has raised $135 million for a second Latin American-focused venture capital fund, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The firm’s first fund of $56.4 million was raised in 2011.

According to the documents, Kaszek raised $47.725 million for Kaszek Ventures II, $44.5 million for Kaszek Ventures II-A, and $42.775 million for Kaszek Ventures II-B.

The firm has backed companies such as Open English, Netshoes and VivaReal. It’s general partners are Nicolas Szekasy and Hernan Kazah.
