Apigee, which makes software for companies to manage application programming interfaces (APIs), announced this morning that it has raised $60 million from new investors Pine River Capital Management and Wellington Management Co, as well as prior investors. The San Jose, Calif.-based company said it has raised $171 million to date. The valuation for the new round was undisclosed. Just four months ago Apigee raised $20.5 million at a post-money valuation of $414.03 million from Bay Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Third Point, according to Thomson Reuters (publisher of peHUB). Apigee’s other investors include Accenture, BlackRock-managed funds, Focus Ventures and SAP Ventures. The company said it will use the new capital to “accelerate” all parts of its business.
