SAN FRANCISCO, CA–(Marketwired – May 6, 2014) – Skout, the world’s first and largest mobile network for meeting new people, has announced its acquisition of nightlife startup Nixter. The acquisition was announced on May 6, 2014, by Skout.
Skout co-founder and CEO, Christian Wiklund, said, “No social network has successfully married offline and online. Nixter was founded in 2012 after the team saw an opportunity to bring together the two sides of the nightlife market and thus created a platform enabling a seamless user experience for both consumers and nightlife businesses. Nixter provides next-generation tools for both consumers and venues for ticketing, guest lists and VIP management. The platform is currently operating in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles and is quickly expanding to other additional cities.
