Networked photo station business iSnap has raised approximately $1 million in a Series A round of financing. The funding round was led by a group of super angel investors from California and Europe. iSnap also announced the appointment of Bob Whitson as Chief Executive Officer.

iSnap also announced the appointment of Bob Whitson as Chief Executive Officer. Alexander Lowe, iSnap’s founding CEO, will assume the role of Chief Technical Officer.

Whitson is a seasoned industry executive who has held senior management roles with both Fortune 500 and start-up technology companies. Prior to joining iSnap, Whitson was a co-founder and CEO of Sierra Logic, where he led the company through its formation and growth stage, and then managed its profitable acquisition by Emulex.
These developments are part of an overall strategy designed to help iSnap expand its sales and infrastructure, and meet the growing demand for its product. “The Series A funding will allow iSnap to scale its sales and marketing efforts and drive new product development,” explains iSnap CEO Bob Whitson.
