Jobs of the week: Harvard, Nebraska and Oaktree on recruitment drive


This week, Harvard Management Company, the Nebraska Investment Council and Oaktree Capital Management are on the lookout for experienced private equity professionals.

Harvard Management Company is recruiting for a private equity associate to assist the group head, VPs and AVPs in evaluating, analyzing, closing, and monitoring fund and/or direct co-investments. For further details see the LinkedIn job description.

The Nebraska Investment Council is seeking a state investment officer to replace the retiring SIO. According to the job description on the Pensions and Investments website, the ideal candidate is a generalist with knowledge of all asset classes. Investment management experience leading a public pension fund or state investment agency is preferred.

Oaktree Capital Management is hiring for a vice president based in New York. The vice president will work within the emerging market opportunities group to participate in initial fundraising efforts and in all investment functions and portfolio management activities related to emerging market stressed, distressed, and other value-oriented, fixed income and equity, investment opportunities, according to the job description on the company’s website.
