StrongView said Monday it has hired Steve Melamed as chief sales officer and Mark Parks as vice president of product. Headquartered in Redwood City, Calif., StrongView is an e-mail and cross-channel marketing solutions provider. Its backers include Sequoia Capital, Evercore Partners, DAG Ventures and Globespan Capital Partners.

As an independent provider of enterprise-level digital marketing technology and services, StrongView is expanding its management team to capitalize on the company’s unique position to drive email and contextual marketing innovation in an increasingly consolidated marketplace.
Melamed brings a wealth of experience to StrongView in building high-performance, challenger sales organizations and in helping brands find strategic value in their marketing solution investments. Parks has joined StrongView to accelerate innovation and investment in building data-driven marketing solutions, enabling marketers to deliver more contextually relevant marketing.

Melamed joined StrongView to drive adoption of its suite of products and services with enterprise marketers looking to gain a competitive advantage. With more than 19 years of sales leadership experience, Steve is responsible for driving StrongView’s global growth across direct and indirect sales channels. Previously, Melamed held leadership positions with BrightEdge, Responsys, Coremetrics, DoubleClick and E.piphany, driving sales of a variety of marketing technologies, including marketing automation, email marketing, display advertising, search marketing, mobile marketing and media planning solutions. At Responsys, he led a sales organization during a period of rapid growth from a $20 million private business to a $200 million public company with a successful IPO in 2011.
