DN Capital has named Peter Misek as venture partner. Previously, Misek worked at Jefferies and has been a founding advisor to DN Capital since its start in 2000.
London, 16 July 2014: DN Capital, a leading early stage and growth capital investor in the digital media, ecommerce, software and mobile industries and Europe and North America, today announced the appointment of Peter Misek as Venture Partner.
As a leading Wall Street, Bay Street and City analyst Peter is recognized globally for his investment research talents in the technology sector. With over 15 years experience, Peter has worked in across many of the leading financial institutions in the world. Early in his career, he was hired by NM Rothschild to start their Internet and technology global practice. He subsequently joined Hambrecht and Quist as a sell-side analyst covering global Internet stocks, followed by periods at Scotia Capital where he started North American technology coverage and Canaccord, where he was Head of Research. His last analyst role was with Jefferies where he co-led the global tech team. Peter has also advised business leaders and government at the highest level.
Alongside Peter’s institutional career, his association with DN Capital also has a long history. He has been a founding advisor to DN Capital since its inception in 2000 and has evaluated several of DN investments to date. Peter will be primarily working with DN Capital’s international portfolio of companies as well as finding companies with the ability to expand aggressively into Europe. He will be splitting his time between North America and Europe. Peter will be primarily focused on supporting Steve Schlenker in the West Coast and expanding DN’s reach into Canada.
