Fuisz Media has closed $2.1 million in seed funding. Metamorphic Ventures and Lerer Hippeau Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Michael Lazerow, founder of Buddy Media, WGI Group and Brian Lee, co-founder of LegalZoom and The Honest Company. Based in Santa Monica, Calif., Fuisz Media is a provider of interactive video experiences.
Santa Monica, CA, July 2, 2014 – Fuisz Media, a technology company that uses computer vision algorithms to create interactive video experiences, today announced the launch of Fuisz Interactive Video for branded content and video ads. Fuisz allows brands to create seamless item-level interactions in every frame of a video, letting viewers touch or click on any object to discover, share, or purchase.

The company also announced that it raised $2.1 million in seed funding led by Metamorphic Ventures and Lerer Hippeau Ventures. Additional investors in the round include: Michael Lazerow, founder of Buddy Media; WGI Group (Michael Walrath, founder of Right Media; Jonah Goodhart and Noah Goodhart, founders of Moat); Brian Lee, co-founder of LegalZoom and The Honest Company; Matthew Anderson, CMO of Roku; Ben Barokas, founder and CEO of Admeld; United Talent Agency and Mesa+.

In development for two years, Fuisz Media was founded by Justin Fuisz, who recruited a diverse team with expertise in computer vision, aerospace, virtual reality and drone technology. The Fuisz platform is built to process thousands of videos a day of any length, from 15-second ads to full-length feature films.
