July 16, 2014, Santa Clara, CA – JFrog, a software build and distribution company, announced today that it has closed a $7 million Series B round of funding. Series B investors include VMware and a follow-on investment from Gemini Ventures, who led JFrog’s Series A round of funding. Proceeds from the new funds will be used to expand the company’s R&D staff, fuel open-source activities, and drive sales and marketing efforts worldwide.
“We are witnessing a revolution and industrialization of modern software delivery,” said Shlomi Ben Haim, JFrog CEO. “With Artifactory and Bintray’s seamless integration with Continuous-Integration ecosystem, JFrog has become the uncompromising standard among Fortune 500 companies and open-source projects. JFrog’s state-of-the-art products position the company as a leading pioneer managing the software development cycle. Within a few years, all software will be built and released “the JFrog way”.
“App developers today are increasingly building applications by dynamically assembling thousands of code components.
