BugHerd, an Australian developer of software to track website bugs, announced that it had raised $1 million in Series A funding from Tank Stream Ventures, Starfish Ventures and 500 Startups.

The bulk of the capital came from Tank Stream and Starfish, which are both Australian venture firms, BugHerd said on its blog.

“The funds will allow the us to accelerate our growth plans and enable us to hire more people with a focus on delivering Stack, Brief and the new and improved version of BugHerd to market as soon as possible,” the blog said.

The company raised an undisclosed amount of seed capital from 500 Startups in June 2011.

Bugherd is based in Yarraville, Victoria, just west of Melbourne.
