NEW YORK – Aug. 6, 2014 – InVision, the leading cloud collaboration and workflow platform for the product design process, today announced that it has closed a $21 million Series B round of funding. Existing investor Tiger Global Management led the round, joined by FirstMark Capital and other current investors. This investment more than doubles InVision’s previous funding, bringing the total amount raised to $35 million.
InVision plans to use this latest injection of capital to further invest in its product, engineering, customer service, sales and marketing divisions. The company anticipates hiring additional team members across departments in order to roll out innovative new features and provide enhanced services to existing clients, while also continuing to scale its adoption amongst large enterprises.
Based in New York and founded by Clark Valberg and Ben Nadel, InVision has seen exponential growth since its inception in 2011. Originally conceived as a solution to end to the siloed design process that Clark himself was experiencing, the platform today is used by more than 350,000 designers as a way to collaborate with various stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, marketers, UX researchers and external clients. InVision has quickly become the workflow standard for design-centric companies like Adobe, Oracle, Yahoo, Zappos, Evernote, Prezi and thousands of others.
“Across industries, companies understand the transformative power of design. Having a beautifully-designed and user-friendly app, website, or product is not just an option — it’s an absolute necessity in order to excel in today’s competitive market,” said Clark Valberg, CEO and co-founder of InVision. “InVision is constantly evolving its services to meet the needs of the hundreds of thousands of designers and their teams who use our platform. This investment allows us to continue scaling and provide our clients with the features and integrations necessary to create best-in-class products.”
InVision is the most comprehensive prototyping and workflow platform available, allowing designers to better collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketers, external clients and other stakeholders. Offering real-time presentation, design communication, version control and sync, InVision’s best-in-class features have enabled more than 350,000 designers to receive seamless feedback on their projects. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in New York City, InVision powers design collaboration, reduces inefficiencies, and improves productivity for a number of leading startups, corporations, and agencies, including Adobe, Zappos, Walmart, Salesforce, ESPN, Airbnb, Zipcar, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Razorfish.
