CLEVELAND, OHIO, September 4, 2014 – Ten Capital Management, a private equity real estate firm currently focused on middle market transactions, today announced that Ed Oprindick and Paul DiSandro have joined Ten Capital to lead the firm’s acquisitions and dispositions team.
Prior to joining TCM, Oprindick and DiSandro held senior positions at Hunt Investment Management, LLC. While at Hunt and its predecessor companies dating back to GMAC Commercial Mortgage, Oprindick and DiSandro collectively managed $4 billion in direct real estate investments for large institutional clients. In addition to portfolio management, Oprindick and DiSandro have been involved in the acquisition of over $3.3 billion of commercial and multifamily properties throughout the United States, inclusive of 17,000 multifamily units and 6.8 million square feet of commercial space.
“Joining a young, institutionally-minded boutique firm with the ability to be nimble has clear advantages. Paul and I are thrilled to be on board and excited about the opportunity,” Mr. Oprindick said.
Flexible and decisive, Ten Capital executes on transactions requiring short timeframes and creative capital structures, including office, multi-family, retail, industrial and hospitality. TCM’s investors include a mix of high net worth and institutional capital.
“Bringing accomplished, senior professionals on board like Ed and Paul is the next logical step in the evolution of our business,” said Ben Adams, Ten Capital’s CEO and founder. “We have proven out our strategy and expanded our investor base significantly, and as a result of our success, we are adding to our team of experienced professionals to spearhead execution.”
Ten Capital Management was founded in March 2011 by Ben Adams and Carmela Guerrero with the backing of a high net worth investor, who is based in New York. Mr. Adams explained, “When we launched our firm, we evaluated a number of ideas and ultimately decided the middle-market real estate space was currently the most distinct opportunity to create value for our investment partners. We now know that the opportunity set is quite robust.”
