Harmony Partners has promoted Michael Chou to partner. Chou joined the venture firm in 2014. Previously, he worked at Revolution Growth.
NEW YORK, NY – November 18, 2015 – Harmony Partners, the leader in flexible expansion stage venture capital, is pleased to announce that Michael Chou has been promoted to Partner. The promotion recognizes his contributions to Harmony and highlights the firm’s continued momentum in Fund II.

Michael’s success also confirms the strength and uniqueness of our approach to growth investing.” The firm has made sixteen investments to date in Fund II, including online advertising platform RadiumOne, Big Data discovery platform Platfora, web analytics platform Chartbeat, and on-demand delivery platform Postmates.
Michael joined Harmony as a Principal in its New York office at the beginning of 2014 from Steve Case’s Revolution Growth and was instrumental in Harmony’s investments in Chartbeat, Fastback Networks, Platfora, and Postmates. In 2015, he relocated to lead the firm’s new San Francisco office. Earlier in his career, Michael was a technology investment banker at Perella Weinberg and Barclays.
Harmony has made 30 investments since launching in February 2011, generating top quartile venture returns at growth equity risk profiles across its first two funds. Recent realizations include the IPOs of Intersect ENT (July 2014) and Natera (August 2015) as well as the strategic sales of Aveksa to EMC (July 2013), Divide to Google (May 2014) and Xceedium to CA (August 2015).
