9th November 2015, London: Baby Bundle, technology provider of parenting solutions, today announces a $1.8 million angel-led seed funding round. The developers of the No. 1 parenting app in the US will use the funding to support the business’ international growth plans, with an initial focus on launching a UK platform in association with Mumsnet.
Founded by brothers Nick and Anthony von Christierson, Baby Bundle was launched in the US and Canadian App Store in April 2014. The Apple Editor’s Choice platform, which was developed in collaboration with medical experts, is now the No. 1 parenting app in the US.
In recognition of the success achieved in the US, Baby Bundle has raised $1.8 million in seed funding from an Asian family office and a range of angel investors from across the US, UK and Asia, including Jonnie Goodwin, Founder of Lepe Partners and Co-Founder of Founders Forum. The funding will support the business’ international growth plans, including planned launches in Germany and the Middle East.
Nick von Christierson, CEO & Co-Founder, said: “When we launched the Baby Bundle platform in the US last year we could never have predicted the fantastic reaction from parents. Now we’re thrilled to be working with Mumsnet, the market leader in the UK parenting space, to bring Baby Bundle to a brand new market.”
“The seed funding is a hugely important development and we’re looking forward to working with our esteemed group of angel investors as we prepare to introduce the platform to UK audiences and then roll the Baby Bundle platform out into new global markets over the coming months.”
Justine Roberts, Mumsnet founder, said “Baby Bundle have developed a terrific app with a proven track record of success in the US. We’re really excited about bringing a UK version to the Mumsnet audience.”
Jonnie Goodwin, angel investor and co-founder of Founders Forum, also commented: “With 1.4 million new parents in the UK every year, the early-stage parenting market has great potential. What’s more, there are real opportunities for mobile technology to support and benefit new millennial parents.
