Arsenal wraps up fourth fund at $1.3 bln

Arsenal Capital Partners closed its fourth fund at a hard cap of $1.3 billion. The New York-based private equity firm focuses on middle-market specialty industrial and healthcare companies.

The limited partners of Arsenal Capital Fund IV LP include The Regents of the University of California, Northwestern Mutual, PPM America, Pictet Alternative Advisors SA, SAMpension, Unigestion SA, California State Teachers’ Retirement System, PensionDanmark and Sentry Insurance.

Arsenal’s previous fund closed at $875 million in 2012. No data was available on the fund’s performance.

According to the firm, Arsenal has raised almost $3 billion for its various funds since its founding in 2000.

Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided legal counsel to Arsenal on the fundraising.
