Silicon Valley Data Capital raises $38.3 mln toward venture fund

Silicon Valley Data Capital said it has raised $38.3 million toward a venture capital fund, according to a filing with the SEC.

The firm was founded by James McLean, a former venture partner at Crosslink Capital and investor at 3i Ventures. McLean also worked at ComVentures and Highland Capital Partners and co-founded Silicon Valley Data Science.

His fund attracted 19 LPs.
