KKR trying to “woo” Apple to switch sides in Toshiba chip bid: Bloomberg

KKR is trying to persuade Apple Inc to switch sides and join the buyout shop in its bid for Toshiba Corp’s flash memory chip business, Bloomberg is reporting. Toshiba last week agreed to sell the chip unit to a group led by Bain Capital for $18 billion. The Bain group includes Dell Inc, SK Hynix Inc  and Seagate Technology plc. Apple has to agree to final terms and is negotiating the volume of chips to be provided, Bloomberg said.
