West Venture Partners has set out to raise a $100 million venture fund, according to a filing with the SEC.
Among the San Francisco fund’s managing directors is Joanna Rees, a former managing partner at VSP Capital and a candidate for mayor of San Francisco in the 2011 elections. VSP collapsed when Rees and fellow partner John Hamm were discovered in a romantic relationship.
Also a managing partner at the new fund is Allison Espeseth, according to the document. No first close was reported.
