Withinlink said it launched a $30 million venture capital fund aimed at supporting U.S. startups interested in targeting China.
Withinlink kicked off an initial fund in March that is investing in mid- to late-stage U.S. media and technology companies not doing business in China as well as early stage companies founded in the U.S. by Chinese entrepreneurs.
The fund is run by CEO Bessie Lee, who resigned as CEO of WPP China to focus on Withinlink, a China-based startup incubator and early stage venture fund she founded in 2015. Withinlink has made angel and early-stage investments in nearly a dozen China-based startups in mobile advertising, big data and analytics, social media, and the Internet of things.
