Hardware Club said it named Aymerik Renard a general partner to focus on investments in North America.
Renard was formerly a director at Western Digital Capital, coming to Western Digital by way of its acquisition of SanDisk, where he led venture activity in the United States. He was previously a vice president at PCH International.
Hardware Club had a $28 million first close on its inaugural fund in June and has made nine investments, including in the U.S. companies Biscuit Labs, Play Impossible, Noke and Grow. The organization has offices in San Francisco, Paris and Tokyo and expects a final close of its fund in coming months.
Renard has been an advisor to Hardware Club since 2016.
