Law firm Sidley Austin adds two partners to private equity practice


Law firm Sidley Austin LLP has named Wim De Vlieger and Till Lefranc as partners in its private equity practice in London. Both previously worked at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

London – Sidley Austin LLP announced today that Wim De Vlieger and Till Lefranc will be joining the firm as partners in its London office. They will be members of Sidley’s global Private Equity practice. Both were formerly with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

“In just over one year, our private equity group in Europe has grown exponentially,” said Erik Dahl, co-leader of the firm’s Private Equity practice. “With Wim and Till on board, we will have 25 partners in London and Munich who are actively engaged in serving sponsors and portfolio companies and over 60 lawyers in Europe focused on providing multidisciplinary solutions to our private equity and corporate clients.”

Mr. De Vlieger and Mr. Lefranc counsel clients across Europe on a wide range of transactions, including in particular private equity, M&A, corporate and capital markets transactions. Their practices focus on advising clients on crossborder M&A, growth capital investments, infrastructure transactions, high-yield debt offerings and shareholder and management equity arrangements as well as on initial and secondary public offerings.
