ScaleFactor, a provider of next-generation accounting SaaS for small business and entrepreneurs, has named David Loia as vice president of customers. ScaleFactor is backed by Next Coast Ventures, Techstars Ventures, Firebrand Ventures, Matchstick Ventures, Edison Factory and Flyover Capital.
AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ScaleFactor, the leading provider of next-generation accounting SaaS for small business and entrepreneurs, today announced it has named David Loia as VP of Customers with overall responsibility for global sales and marketing.
“Our first goal upon completing our seed funding in November was to double-down on making businesses into happy ScaleFactor customers,” said Kurt Rathmann, CEO and Founder of ScaleFactor. “I couldn’t be more pleased to add heavy SaaS industry experience to our growing team through David Loia’s appointment.”
David brings an impressive track record of revenue increase at SaaS companies that successfully achieved hyper-growth organically and through acquisition, were funded by VC and PE, went public and were acquired. These include Iconixx, Zenoss, Humantelligence, Next IT, RightNow Technologies (acquired by Oracle) and Siebel Systems (also acquired by Oracle). He began his software career at NASA AMES, P&G and Oracle. David holds a MS Engineering from Stanford University, and a MBA from the Harvard Business School.
“ScaleFactor’s next-gen accounting SaaS solutions, enthusiastic customers and amazing ‘customer comes first’ culture positions it perfectly to disrupt the $1B+ small business accounting space dominated today by outdated, labor-intensive accounting shops,” said David Loia.
