Platinum Dermatology Partners has acquired Center for Dermatology & Plastic Surgery, an Arizona-based dermatology practice. No financial terms were disclosed. Platinum is backed by Sterling Partners.
February 13, 2018 – Sterling Partners-backed Platinum Dermatology Partners (“Platinum”) announced today the addition of Phoenix’s Center for Dermatology & Plastic Surgery (“CDPS”) to its network. This is the first dermatology group to join Platinum outside of the Houston and Dallas markets.
“We are extremely excited about our partnership with CDPS and proud to be affiliated with their outstanding clinicians and support staff,” says Greg DeAtkine, CEO of Platinum. “Seeing our model resonating with physicians in new markets is rewarding and further reinforces our differentiation and the replicability of our model in new geographic areas.”
Platinum is a dermatology-focused management services organization that enables physician business owners to aggregate and collaborate through an all-physician Clinical Advisory Board while maintaining ownership and autonomy over their practices. In the last 12 months, Platinum has partnered with 10 practices in Dallas, Houston and now the Phoenix metropolitan area.
With 21 providers across eight locations in the Phoenix metro area, CDPS is one of the largest dermatology practices in Arizona and provides Platinum with a substantial presence in the region. CDPS offers a comprehensive suite of dermatological and surgical services to patients through general and cosmetic dermatology, dermatopathology, and a broad array of surgical specialties.
