Aikon unveils blockchain protocol, announces funding


San Mateo, California-based Aikon, which has unveiled a blockchain protocol called the Open Rights Exchang, announced it has raised $2 million in funding from OVO Fund and angel investors from the United States, Japan and Europe. The company was founded in 2017 by encryption software pioneer Stefan Roever, former political campaign manager and tech entrepreneur Marc Blinder and banking and fintech executive Betsabe Botaitis.
