Ex Uber CEO Travis Kalanick took to Twitter to announce the creation of his 10100 investment fund.
Details were sparse, but Kalanick said fund would be home to “my passions, investments, ideas and big bets.” It will oversee his for-profit investments and his non-profit work.
“Over the past few months, I’ve started thinking about what’s next,” he wrote. “I’ve begun making investments, joining boards and working with entrepreneurs and non-profits.”
The theme behind the fund, pronounced “ten-one-hundred,” is large-scale job creation, with investments in real estate, ecommerce, and emerging innovation in China and India, he wrote. Non-profit efforts will focus on education and the future of cites.
