Panacea Venture, backed by KPCB partners, to raise $150 mln for venture fund

Panacea Venture, formed by two Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers‘ partners from China, is seeking to raise $150 million for a venture fund according to a filing with the SEC.

The effort did not report a first close. The KPCB website lists James Huang as a managing partner of Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers China. Also listed is Partner Hai Mi.

Both are behind the new firm, which expects to back early stage health care companies with a link to China.

The filing can be found here.
