Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Google, Sesame Workshop, JPMorgan are hiring

Google is hiring an analyst, corporate development strategy and scouting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across internal functions and external networks to identify and evaluate both acquisition and strategic investment opportunities. He or she will provide the management team with the needed insight into markets, sectors, and individual companies to drive intelligent, sound decision-making. Qualifications include two years of experience in management consulting, a technology-focused corporate strategy function, corporate development, venture capital, private equity or investment banking in the technology industry. The position is located in Mountain View, CA.

Sesame Workshop is searching for a manager, strategy to join its Strategy and Ventures department, which is responsible for providing strategic advice and consulting services to the organization’s internal business units. The department oversees Sesame Ventures, a $15 million portfolio fund with a double-bottom-line investment approach. The hire will help manage relationships, communicating regularly with VC partners and engaging directly with their portfolio companies to maximize the mutual benefits of the partnerships. Qualifications include at least two years’ experience in consulting, banking, private equity or media strategy. The position is located in New York.

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an experienced associate, mergers & acquisitions. The successful candidate will play a central role in all aspects of executing live M&A transactions across all industry sectors. Duties include creating complex financial models and valuation analyses, managing day-to-day deal execution, assisting clients in due diligence, and providing leadership to analysts. Qualifications include at least two years of experience in capital markets, investment banking or a corporate finance-related role. Experience in M&A is highly preferred, but banking experience in an industry coverage group, private equity or similar field will be considered. The position is located in San Francisco.

Jefferies is looking to add an investment banking analyst to its Financial Institutions Group. The hire will assume significant responsibilities related to pitching and executing advisory and capital markets transactions for a broad group of private and public clients. These will include preparing and delivering client presentations, analyzing business plans and valuing companies using a variety of methodologies, and participating in due diligence and drafting sessions. At least one to two years of investment banking experience is required. The position is located in New York.

Houlihan Lokey has an opening for an associate, portfolio valuation. Primary activities will include valuing debt, equity and structured securities held by hedge funds, private equity funds, and business development companies in connection with fair value reporting of assets to investors; presenting analyses and conclusions internally to the senior management and boards of directors of clients and to fiduciaries; constructing and reviewing valuation and other financial models; attending due diligence meetings; and directing the efforts of financial analysts. A minimum of four years of work experience at an accounting or valuation firm is required. The position is located in New York.
