The University of California Office of the President is looking to fill a private equity investment officer position. The hire will be responsible for managing the University of California’s retirement, endowment, working capital and cash assets under the policies, guidelines and performance benchmarks established by the Regents. Also, in consultation with the director, the investment officer will assist in the recommendation of fund managers, secondaries, co-investments, direct investments and special situations. Duties include assisting in the origination and execution of corporate finance and M&A transactions; developing teams of associates and analysts in the provision of financing and advisory services to clients; and evaluating risk factors and negotiating transactions on behalf of clients. Candidates should have an MBA or equivalent graduate degree and have at least four years of “meaningful” investment banking experience. The position is in New York.
Macquarie Group is on the hunt for a private equity analyst/associate. Responsibilities include financial modelling and analysis of companies and transactions in one or more of the following sectors: transport, waste, communications & technology, energy and power & utilities.
