NEW YORK, NY – July 10, 2018 – Soundcore Capital Partners, LLC (“Soundcore”) announced today that its portfolio company PumpMan Holdings, Inc. (“PumpMan”), a leading provider of pump systems, on-site maintenance, and repair services to commercial, industrial, and municipal customers in the United States, has acquired Southwest Waterworks Contractors, Inc. (“Southwest Waterworks”) and Groundwater Pump & Well, Inc. (“Groundwater”) as separate transactions.
Headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, Southwest Waterworks specializes in the design, installation, and repair of commercial and municipal pumps & pump systems. With a footprint spanning the cities of Tucson, Mesa, Buckeye, Peoria, Goodyear, El Mirage, among others, the company has continuously serviced the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and its extensive customer base for over twenty years.
“Phoenix is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the U.S., adding more than a million residents since 2000,” said Donald Devine, President and CEO of PumpMan. “With this rapid growth, there’s a tremendous need for increased capabilities and scale within the water and wastewater industry. We look forward to building on the knowledge and expertise of Southwest Waterworks, and providing the tools and support necessary to enable the company to meet the region’s increased water demands.”
Healdsburg, California-based Groundwater has provided innovative clean water solutions to the residential, commercial, agricultural, water treatment, and well rehabilitation & maintenance industries since 1990.
PumpMan will integrate Groundwater into its Santa Rosa-based Bartley Pump later this year, relocating its employees, equipment, and inventory to Bartley’s location. Together, as part of PumpMan, the Bartley and Groundwater brands will remain active and add “A PumpMan NorCal Company” branding at year-end as an important step in leveraging the legacy of the local companies while joining them to the strength and capabilities of a growing national brand. Customers will continue to receive the same exceptional service from a more capable company.
“The acquisitions of Southwest Waterworks and Groundwater represent great additions to PumpMan’s expanding national footprint,” said Feliks Zarotsky, Managing Partner of Soundcore.
