Walden Riverwood Ventures is seeking to raise $325 million for its third fund, according to a regulatory filing, called WRV III. The firm is led by Executive Managing Directors Lip-Bu Tan, Michael Marks and Nicholas Brathwaite and makes early-stage investments in what it calls core technologies, such as robotics company Bossa Nova, AI open source provider H20.ai and cell researcher Berkeley Lights. The firm, with offices in San Francisco and Menlo Park, California, was formed five years ago from the combination of Tan’s Walden International and Marks’ Riverwood Capital.
