WeeCare raises $4.2 mln in seed led by Social Capital

Los Angeles-based WeeCare, which operates a childcare platform to help caregivers start curriculum-based home daycares, announced it has raised $4.2 million in seed funding. The round was led by Social Capital, with participation from Fuel Capital. Previous investors Fika Ventures, Amplify Partners and Wavemaker Partners also joined the round. As part of the investment, Social Capital Partner Adam Nelson has joined the board. The company, founded in 2017, said it aims to use the funds to expand into new regions.
